Oakite Stripper Additive is a chelated liquid additive formulated to boost the penetrating power of alkaline paint stripping solutions and extend their working life. It has the same effect on heavy-duty cleaning solutions used to remove tough soils from automotive parts. As an additive to straight caustic for etching aluminum, Stripper Additive prevents scale build-up. Oakite Stripper Additive is also used in paper mill stock systems (to prevent soil accumulation) and food plants. Its authorized by the USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants. The material assumes the characteristics of the solution to which it is added.
